Located in Olevano Romano, 35 miles south of Rome, with vineyards planted in volcanic soils 450 meters above sea level. This Silene bottling is aged in concrete for a year and conveys more delicate qualities of the Cesanese red grape. It also comes from nearly 100 year old vines. Damiano Ciolli, now in his mid-thirties, belongs to a family of farmers who has been making wine for 4 generations selling it only in demi-johns to neighbors and Roman osterie.
